The Envelope Please! Support Long Beach Island's
First Film Festival at May 15th Fundraiser

Join the festival team as they open the envelope and announce the list of films that have been selected for the Lighthouse International Film Festival
On Friday, May 15th, celebrations will kick-off on Long Beach Island in honor of its upcoming Lighthouse International Film Festival, a historic event to be held on LBI from June 4th to 7th. Residents, visitors and film fans are all invited to join the festival team at a fundraiser at the beautiful Gables Restaurant in Beach Haven, in partnership with the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and the Long Beach Island Business Alliance. The evening will include the announcement of the film festival's line-up, in addition to prizes for movie trivia, great food and wine.
Presented by a team of industry insiders, including Charlie Prince, a prominent entertainment attorney and long-time Long Beach Island resident, the festival will make LBI an exciting venue to introduce new films and talent, and mark the island as an important destination for film fanatics. The Festival has received over 130 submissions from countries as diverse as Italy, Peru, India, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
"Putting together a film festival on LBI has been my dream for years, and I'm ecstatic that it is finally coming to fruition," said organizer Charlie Prince. "The island is the perfect setting for the exciting line-up that we have put together, which I cannot wait to share with friends and supporters at the Gables on May 15th"

- PLACE: The Gables Restaurant, 212 Centre St. Beach Haven, Long Beach Island, NJ
- DATE AND TIME: Friday, May 15th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm
- TICKETS: $50.00 per person (tickets are limited to the first 100 people)

About the Lighthouse International Film Festival
The Lighthouse International Film Festival was founded by a collection of filmmakers, film critics and film industry professionals who share a passion for film and wanted to create an event aimed first and foremost at film enthusiasts. The 2009 festival will present feature films, 20 shorts, documentaries and family films, as well as panel discussions with leading film industry professionals. Taking place on Long Beach Island, NJ -- one of the East coast's most popular surfing destinations -- the festival celebrates four days of new, exciting and challenging films in honor of Long Beach Island's historic Barnegat Lighthouse.
